The Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced, on Sunday, that factories for the production of sugar in the governorates of Maysan and Nineveh will be offered to investment, while it revealed its plan to support the national product.
Ministry spokesman Mortada Al-Safi said, according to state media, that "factories for the production of sugar in Maysan and Mosul have been put up for investment in order to rehabilitate their production lines and return them to work."
He added, "The ministry has a plant for the production of vegetable oils, and a contract has been made with the Ministry of Trade to supply it with edible oil," noting that "the contract includes supplying the Ministry of Trade with vegetable oil for a period of three months."
He pointed out that "the Ministry of Industry has set up a plan to protect the national product, which includes not introducing similar materials manufactured inside that are self-sufficient." Ended 29 / A43
