The intensive rounds of dialogue between the delegation of the Kurdistan region headed by Qubad Talabani and the political blocs in Baghdad on the budget failed to reach an agreement that ends the differences and opens the doors to vote on the federal budget for the current world.
In the details, the House of Representatives postponed the vote on the draft fiscal budget for the current year to next week, due to continued discussions on the project and to give the relevant committees an opportunity for further review and scrutiny.
Sources confirmed that the meeting was postponed due to the cancellation of the agreement between the political blocs and the regional delegation, amid the possibility of a boycott by the Kurdish blocs for any session held to vote on the draft law without an alternative agreement.
