Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Culture unveiled new controls regarding residential plots in the Sabiyat area.
Culture Minister Hassan Nazim said in press statements that Al-Sabiyat is an archaeological area that was distributed as plots of land for citizens and there are complaints from them about the size of the sums deducted for excavation work.
He pointed out that the Ministry, in cooperation with the Antiquities Authority, has begun setting new standards and controls for the issue of excavating residential plots, as the fees imposed on citizens have been reduced from 3 million to 120 thousand in order to support the citizen, especially for those who want to build a house on the land.
