{Baghdad: Al-Furat News} The governor of Nineveh Najm al-Jubouri said that 380 billion dinars are still frozen by the government since ISIS's occupation of the governorate in 2014 and have not yet been launched, in addition to 71 billion dinars as dues to contractors, adding that the governorate's situation is currently better than many Provinces.

In a press interview, Al-Jubouri attributed the reason for the improvement in the governorate's conditions to "the residents' contribution to rebuilding their homes and shops, as well as supporting some projects," noting that "Nevertheless, Nineveh needs a lot of money, part of which will be provided by donors."
He stressed, "The work at the Republican Hospital will be close to the Kuwaiti grant, for which 350 billion dinars have been allocated, in addition to Al-Khansa Hospital."
He expressed his hope that "the prime minister and parliament will work to change investment laws that do not meet the ambition of any investor, suggesting that investment be made in the hands of conservatives, as is the case in the Kurdistan region."
In the context, the Governor of Nineveh stated that "the government was approached with regard to the sums that were found in Mosul, in order to recover them and spend them for the reconstruction of the demolished houses in the old Mosul."
The Nineveh Investigation Court recently announced its reservation on large sums of money and valuable assets that were seized under the rubble of a house in Al-Shahwani area in Mosul for the purpose of handing them over to the Central Bank.
The judiciary stated, in a statement, that "the court announced the discovery of an amount of one million six hundred thousand dollars, gold and silver coins, bars and gold collectibles in Al-Shahwani area, while one of the excavators removed the ruins of the old area's role," indicating that "these funds were used by ISIS to finance its terrorist operations.
In addition, Al-Jubouri said, "The governorate obtained the approval of the Minister of Defense to erect two floating bridges, the first in Al-Salamiyah district and the second in Al-Nimrud district southeast of Mosul, explaining that the two bridges will be erected by the engineering effort of the Ministry of Defense."
He added, "Next week will witness the commencement of erecting the two bridges until the rehabilitation of the damaged bridges in the two mentioned areas is completed."
