The Central Bank of Iraq announced, on Monday, the launch of a three-pronged initiative to mitigate the damage caused to the families of the martyrs and the wounded in the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital accident, as well as to rehabilitate the hospital and support the government's efforts to deal with the aftermath of the accident.
In a statement received by the National News Center, the Central Bank stated, "The bank shares our people's grief over the tragic accident that occurred in Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, in which a number of martyrs and wounded were killed."
He added, "The Central Bank, banks and non-banking financial institutions launched an initiative to mitigate the damage that befell the families of the martyrs and the wounded, to rehabilitate the hospital, and to support the government's efforts to address the effects of this painful incident."
