Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Education commented on calls to stop school attendance.
"The Ministry of Education is committed to the decisions of the National Health and Safety Committee regarding attendance work for primary school students (first, second and third), and the completed stages (sixth primary, third intermediate and sixth intermediate), said the ministry’s spokesman, Haider Farouq.
He added that "suspending attendance hours in schools or increasing days is a decision related to the Higher Committee for National Health and Safety, and the Ministry of Education is committed to that," indicating that "it is not possible to stop attendance hours without instructions from the Supreme Committee."
Farouk called on "everyone to adhere to health and preventive guidelines."
Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Health Committee recommended that school attendance be stopped, warning of a loss of control and an exacerbation of the number of cases of the epidemic among students.
