A member of the Crisis Cell in Parliament, Ghayeb Al-Amiri, also expected the imposition of a comprehensive curfew during the Eid period, explaining that the easing of the curfew measures after that is linked to assessing the epidemiological situation and adhering to preventive measures. He pointed out that the decision will be taken according to developments, noting that "all options are before the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety, based on current data, and the high numbers of injuries, deaths and critical cases."

Al-Amiri confirmed that recommendations have been put forward that include stopping education in schools, institutes and colleges, making it electronic, and preventing travel to and from India from the beginning of next month until further notice, due to a very large increase in the number of injuries and deaths in India.
In the context, the Director of Public Health at the Iraqi Ministry of Health, Riyad Abdul Amir, indicated that there is a fear that the Indian mutant of the Corona virus may enter the country, stressing that there is no evidence that infections of this strain have been recorded in Iraq. He continued: “In Iraq we have the original and mutated British virus,” saying that the pandemic will not recede, and the number of infections will continue to rise as a result of non-compliance with preventive measures.

He hoped that the percentage of Iraqis who receive the vaccine would rise to 100,000 per day, stressing that no deaths or clots were recorded due to the vaccines. The number of injuries in Iraq has exceeded the million mark, with the continued increase in the number of daily injuries, and a relative high in the death rate.
Earlier, the Iraqi authorities took strict measures to prevent the Corona virus, including a total curfew on Friday and Saturday, a partial ban from eight in the evening until five in the morning on the rest of the week, imposing financial fines on people who do not wear masks, and preventing gatherings of all kinds.
