The Advisor to the Prime Minister for Elections Affairs, Abdul Hussein Al-Hindawi, considered today, Monday, that international monitoring and awareness of voters and candidates and the new election law are among the most important factors to prevent any case of fraud during the upcoming elections.

"The first determinant is the election law itself, which is a new type of law, which divides the country into 83 constituencies instead of the 18 constituencies as it was in the past," Al-Hindawi said in a press statement followed by Al-Sumaria News, "and thus limits the possibility of manipulating the electoral issue to a very large extent. "There will be a possibility to benefit from the votes of a region for another service, in addition to individual nomination, multiple constituencies, winning the majority and whoever brings the highest votes, and ensuring a women's quota, as there will be at least 83 women in the next parliament according to the constitution and the law."

He added, "The issue of monitoring in its three forms, political entities and parties participating in the electoral process, candidates and their agents, and national monitoring, and there are about 7 national monitoring networks that have good experience with up to 60,000 professional observers, is a step to prevent fraud," calling for "support and encouragement of these networks." "To work and provide the conditions and material capabilities to work independently, not to mention the international monitoring that will be present in a large and very important way to deter fraud, violations or fraud in the elections."

And Al-Hindawi said, "Educating the street, the voter, and the candidate of the rights of the voter and the candidate is very important, and the more awareness is, the more participation and oversight also increases, and the possibility of benefit, fraud or electoral violations, as the citizen will not only be a voter or a candidate, but rather he will be an observer of the electoral work."
He pointed out, "The government role, which must be strong in this field, especially in providing a safe environment, without which there can be no free elections, and there will be all kinds of blackmail and domination of some centers, and this exists and we have already seen it in the past, as it will be a responsibility." The government in this area is very big and basic. "
