{Kurdistan: Al Furat News} The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, met today, Thursday, with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, Sophie Willems.

And the regional government stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that “in the meeting, developments in the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Belgium were discussed, as well as the latest developments in Iraq and the region in general, in addition to dealing with the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, and threats Terrorism and its dangers, the war on ISIS and extremism and the elimination of its emergence factors, as well as working to establish the foundations of stability and peace in the region, in addition to highlighting other files of common interest.
The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government directed his "gratitude and appreciation to Belgium and the international coalition for their support for the region in the war against ISIS," stressing "the importance of Belgium continuing to coordinate and cooperate with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and the Kurdistan Region's commitment to consolidating a culture of peaceful coexistence was emphasized."
The Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs extended her sincere thanks to the Kurdistan Regional Government for its cooperation and for providing all necessary facilities to its Belgian special envoys to Iraq and Syria, expressing "the country's solidarity, support and aspiration to strengthen comprehensive relations with the Kurdistan Region and to confront obstacles, security challenges and terrorism in general."
