    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani expressed, today, Saturday (July 6, 2024), to the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, his aspiration for the continuation of bilateral relations between Iraq and Britain in a congratulatory telegram on the occasion of  his assumption of his position .
    The Prime Minister's Media Office  said  in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "Al-Sudani congratulated British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on assuming his duties and forming the new British government."
    In a telegram he sent to Starmer, Al-Sudani expressed his "aspiration for the continuation of bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom and the expansion of their horizons, in accordance with the approach of productive partnership and strengthening ties at various levels, and for further development and prosperity, in the interest of the two friendly peoples," according to the statement . 
    According to the statement, the Prime Minister  wished the new British government "success in its mission, to move forward and achieve its goals, and to support international peace and stability."
