{Local: Al Furat News} The Parliamentary Education Committee announced, on Thursday, that the exams will be limited to those who complete and fail in those stages, while calling for comprehensive admission to the finished stages.
A member of the Parliamentary Committee, Abbas Al-Zamili, said, "It was agreed that the school year for unfinished primary school students would be decided by adopting half-year grades as a final grade for crossing to the next stage.
He added, "There are no final exams for the unfinished stages, but there will be exams for those who complete and fail the mid-year exams and the first course for the aforementioned stages, and there is a discussion to take the attendance exams for this category in the future to give them a new opportunity to succeed, while emphasizing preventive measures when they are conducted."
Al-Zamili continued, "This step comes in line with the current situation that the country is going through in light of the Corona pandemic, which has negatively affected the reality of the educational process in the country and all countries."
The member of the committee demanded, "comprehensive admission to the two finished stages, the third intermediate and the sixth preparatory, taking into account the situation of students in not completing the curriculum and for the inclusion of the largest number of students in ministerial exams, especially since the school year is disparate in work and attendance in schools."
The Ministry of Education had confirmed the adoption of the mid-year degree as a final degree for the unfinished stages, and the end of the school year on the first of July for the year 2021, while it praised in a statement the efforts of the teaching and educational staff, and what our dear students and their families have done for the success of the current school year.
