On Thursday, the representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Uday Awad, revealed that there is a parliamentary movement of deputies in various political blocs, to stop the decision to disburse money to the Kurdistan region.
Awad said, in press statements, that deputies from different political blocs have begun actual work to stop the cabinet decision to release two hundred billion dinars per month to the regional government retroactively, contrary to Article 11 of the budget law for 2021, stressing that this is a violation of the Iraqi law and constitution. It cannot be tolerated, as it is manipulating the capabilities of the Iraqi state according to personal and political whims.
And that the deputies will have a close approach to the Federal Supreme Court, to challenge the decision of the Council of Ministers, for the purpose of issuing a judicial order that cancels the decision, because of the legal and constitutional violations, and an explicit violation of the budget law.
