    Mubasher: Muhammed Kocuk Saqali, the Turkish consul in Mosul, revealed today, Saturday, the visit of a delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Water Resources to Iraq soon, to study the water situation from the Mosul Dam to Basra.

    Saqali told the Iraqi News Agency, INA, that the water file is very important between Iraq and Turkey, and that the President of the Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, appointed a person specialized in this field, Faysoglu.
    He added, that a very large working team was formed representing all specialists working in state departments, who are specialists in the field of water, pointing out that "the goal of the team is to solve the water problem in Iraq, and use it well and appropriately by Turkey and Iraq."
    Saqali confirmed that two weeks ago, a delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources went to Turkey, and studies were carried out on the Tigris River in Turkey, noting that a delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Water Resources will soon visit Iraq to study the water situation from Mosul Dam to Basra.
    He pointed out that there will be a center near Baghdad, and its work will revolve around the mechanism for making good use of water by Turkey and Iraq.
    He noted that water during the current year is very little in Iraq and Turkey because the rain was little, stressing that "Turkey has never cut off the water."
    Regarding investment projects, the Turkish consul stressed that "Turkish companies have been present in Iraq since the past," noting that "the work of Turkish companies depends on granting investment projects to them."
    He explained, that there is no obstacle from Iraq regarding the work of Turkish companies, but Iraq must give them investment projects in order to work.
    And he indicated that there are two large Turkish companies operating in Iraq and carrying out two projects in Mosul, one of which is the sewage plant project on the right coast, which works to treat heavy water, and the other is a project to bring rain water, purify it and return it to the Tigris River, in addition to other projects carried out by Turkish companies, Including a hospital in Mosul University, and the new bridge over the Tigris River.
