[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - Iraq and Turkey have agreed on resolving all inquiries regarding the Tigris River Protocol and establishing a joint research center for water.
A statement by the Ministry of Water Resources stated that "technical discussions were continued for the second day in a row, headed by the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Water Affairs Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, Minister of Water Resources and the Turkish President's Special Envoy for Water Affairs, Faysal Aroglu. All inquiries from the Turkish side have been resolved on the Tigris River Protocol, and they will be resolved." Sending the final modified version within the next few period for the purpose of displaying it in its final form and signing it.
The statement added, "It was also agreed that the joint research center will soon be established, which has reached its final stages, as it will be established in Baghdad to be the start of a new era in the Iraqi-Turkish bilateral relations in the field of water," noting that "the center will constitute a mainstay for Iraqi and Turkish experts to exchange information." He continued: "The joint memorandum of understanding between the two countries, which is in the process of ratification by the President of the Turkish Republic, was discussed after it was ratified by the Turkish Parliament to start implementing its provisions, and it was agreed to send specialized teams from Iraq in the field of surface and ground water to discuss the water file and visit dams." And the most important projects related to groundwater and wastewater reuse projects according to modern technologies during the month of October.
Al-Hamdani invited, according to the statement, Faisal Oroglu to visit the most important water facilities and projects in Iraq during the coming period./End of 9[/rtl]
