    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced an increase in water releases from the Tigris River for a month, as much as possible, towards Iraq. [/rtl]

    [rtl]Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a joint press conference at the presidential palace in Ankara, two and a half hours after the meeting between the Iraqi and Turkish delegations.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Establishing a railway between Iraq and Turkey[/rtl]
    [rtl]Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, in a joint press statement with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiya al-Sudani, that the two sides agreed to establish a "railway" from Basra to Turkey, from which "millions of people in a wide geographical area from Europe to the Gulf" will benefit from its benefits. And "it will strengthen regional cooperation, develop trade and at the same time strengthen our human relations." [/rtl]
    [rtl]He added, "We share with our Iraqi brothers the steps that can be taken to increase bilateral trade between us and solve the problems faced by Turkish citizens and businessmen." [/rtl]
    [rtl]Erdogan considered that "Turkey has proven on every occasion that he is a true friend of the Iraqi people, and Turkey is the greatest defender of Iraq's political unity and territorial integrity," adding that "differences may arise between neighbors from time to time, and Iraq and Turkey have always shown determination to resolve these differences within the framework of Neighborhood rights. [/rtl]
    [rtl]Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani had started an official visit to Turkey at the head of a high-ranking government delegation.[/rtl]
