The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, on Monday, an executive plan for children that will last for four years, while indicating the formation of a high-level committee to develop solutions to the phenomenon of beggary.
Director of the Child Welfare Authority office in the ministry, Ghada Mohsen Al-Rafi'i, told the official news agency, "The Child Welfare Authority approved, in its last meeting, the executive plan to protect the child," noting that "the plan was launched in conjunction with the International Children's Day."
She added, "The child protection policy includes 8 outcomes, work began on it since 2010 and was approved by the Prime Minister in 2017," noting that "during the year 2018-2019, it entered into force, and in the first year focused on one outcome, the problem of displacement, and it stopped Working due to the Corona pandemic.
Al-Rafie explained, "The ministry worked during the current year on the overall policy and its eight results, as a team was formed to work on the executive plan, consisting of planning directors and directors of the policy department in the relevant ministries, who are members of the Care Authority and represent the ministries of (Labour, Justice, Education, and Health). Culture, youth and sports, planning, interior, exterior).
And she added, "Work is underway on the plan in cooperation with UNICEF, which has designated an expert on child protection policy," stressing that "the executive plan will be launched for four years."
