Today, Tuesday, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, called for the support of the state and its security services, noting that the Basra bombing was a desperate attempt to destabilize the country.
"The criminal terrorist incident that targeted our people in Basra and at this time is a desperate attempt to destabilize the country," Saleh said in a tweet via "Twitter", followed by "Al-Nour News."
He added, "We must unite the ranks and support the state and its security services, as we have no choice but to unite, protect societal security and peace, and punish the perpetrators."
Today, a motorcycle exploded at the Al-Samoud intersection in Basra governorate, killing and wounding 8 people, as two wheels were burnt at the site of the explosion, according to the preliminary statistics of the Basra Health Directorate.
