, President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid called, on Friday, for the development of legislation in support of the culture of coexistence between men and women.
"The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is a reminder and urging to end this barbaric behavior," the President of the Republic said in a tweet, followed by Mawazine News.
He added, "Let the development of legislation, the implementation of the law, and the development of a culture of coexistence in peace and understanding be a continuous work for the freedom and dignity of women and men alike, and let all our days be a partnership in life, living, love, and peace."
