Baghdad - INA The
Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, discussed today, Wednesday, with Turkey's ambassador in Baghdad, Alireza Konai, the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides after its entry into force, to ensure that Iraq obtains a fair water share.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, received in his office the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Baghdad Ali Riza Konai and his accompanying delegation," noting that "during the meeting, they discussed the water file and ways of joint cooperation between The two countries face the water scarcity crisis in the region.
She added, "The memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides after its entry into force and the necessary steps to implement the terms of the memorandum to ensure that Iraq obtains a fair water share were discussed."
