The Dhi Qar Oil Company suggested, on Wednesday, the imposition of "blackmail" of being behind the recent attack on the Chinese "Zipec" company operating in the Al-Gharraf field.
Karim Al-Jandil, media director of the Dhi Qar Oil Company, said in a statement received by the "National News Center", "The headquarters of the Chinese "Zypec" company operating within the Al-Gharraf oil field in Al-Rifai district was attacked by a missile (RPG Seven) and a hail of bullets at dawn yesterday. It was carried out by unknown persons.
"The attack caused no damage except to the outer caravan, noting that the security services found a missile that did not explode," al-Jundi said.
He pointed out that "the company has previously been subjected to previous attacks, which are believed to be a blackmail operation against the company in order to employ the people of the region."
