{Political: Al Furat News} The head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad, confirmed today, Saturday, that the assassination of the victory leaders, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and the commander of the Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, is a crime against the sovereignty of Iraq.
Al-Fayyadh added, while attending a march to commemorate the martyrdom in the Jadriya area in central Baghdad, that Grand Ayatollah Imam al-Sistani "protected Iraq from dangers."
He pointed out that "the withdrawal of foreign forces is not an emotional position, but rather to protect Iraq and its sovereignty."
Al-Fayyadh pointed out that "the Iraqi people are disobedient and do not accept submission, and the demand to expel the US forces is a guarantee of sovereignty."
The US military had carried out the assassination of the victory leaders, with a missile strike near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
