On Friday, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan ruled out the Kurdistan Democratic Party's candidate, Hoshyar Zebari, obtaining parliament's confidence because of his earlier dismissal on corruption charges.
And the former representative of the Union, Rizan Sheikh Diller, said in a televised interview that "The Information" that "the only candidate for the National Union for the presidency is Barham Salih, and we have not reached agreements with the Kurdistan Democratic Party regarding the presidential candidate so far."
And she added, "Two days before the first parliament session, there was a unified agreement between the Yekti and the Party, but in the parliament session we knew that the Kurdistan Democratic Party had an agreement with the current, progress and determination."
She indicated that "Hoshyar Zebari was issued a decision to dismiss him from his position as a minister by the House of Representatives, and that the dismissal of a person because of corruption files, how can he be a president and protector of the constitution." Ended 25 D
