The independent deputy, Basem Khashan, confirmed that the Federal Court, if the case against Al-Halbousi proceeds, will cancel his position and the positions of his two deputies, and all the measures that were taken in the absence of the head of the age, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani.
Khashan told Al-Maalouma, "The state decision of the Federal Court is a first step to rearranging parliamentary procedures, because the past years did not witness a single pattern that complies with the constitution and in all parliamentary procedures."
He added, "It is hoped that the Federal Court will proceed with the case in accordance with the constitutional procedures, regarding the violation of holding the first parliamentary session and the violations committed by Al-Halbousi in his presidency of Parliament during the last session."
And he indicated that "the case and if it is accepted by the court, all the procedures for holding the first session will be canceled, as its decision will be to cancel the entire session or cancel it from where it ended by raising it by the head of the age."
