    The Minister of Planning, Dr. Khaled Batal Al-Najm, confirmed today, Monday, that the development priorities of the Ministry within its investment plan for the current year 2022, are to support projects related to the security aspect, in order to achieve stability, which is the basis for implementing projects and achieving development in the country.
    This came while the Minister of Planning chaired a workshop held by the ministry to discuss mechanisms and priorities for implementing ongoing investment projects, during 2022, with the participation of all ministries and agencies not associated with a ministry.
    The Minister added that the Ministry is making exceptional efforts to facilitate procedures to ensure the implementation of ongoing investment projects, according to their timelines and financial allocations, indicating that there are a number of projects that have been suspended for various reasons, which requires finding solutions and treatments to ensure the resumption of work on these projects, after determining the percentages of work. Achievement in each project, noting that the Ministry of Planning has prepared a report, details of which will be announced later, that includes an assessment of the performance level of all ministries and agencies not affiliated with a ministry, in terms of implementation levels for projects. , provided that the Council of Ministers approves the inclusion of the project, pointing out that the Ministry of Planning has established a “Development Projects Bank,” which provides an opportunity for ministries and agencies not affiliated with a Ministry, and the governorates, to prioritize future projects, and to include them within the platform of this bank, so that the Ministry of Planning can consider In those projects,When conditions are right.
    The workshop, which was attended by the undersecretaries of the ministry, undersecretaries of ministries and general managers in various state institutions, witnessed a review of the decisions of the Council of Ministers regarding the implementation of the investment budget, clarification of the paragraphs on contracts, and a statement of contractual and accounting requirements related to the implementation of investment projects.
