The Director of the Victory Coalition office in Kirkuk, Azzam al-Hamdani, stated, on Monday, that al-Sadr's alliance with al-Halbousi and the Democratic Party places Kirkuk in the box of concessions.
Al-Hamdani said in a statement to the "Information" agency, "Al-Sadr's alliance with the Kurdish and Sunni component places the Kirkuk governorate in the bargaining and concessions category, and thus we will lose an entire governorate again, blaming Al-Sadr and Al-Halbousi for the loss of national wealth that the coordinating framework was able to control after the war of the terrorist organization ISIS."
He added that "if the tripartite alliance between the movement and the Kurdish and Sunni components succeeds in forming the next government, this will put Kirkuk under Kurdish auspices," noting that "there is an Arab and Turkmen popular refusal to include the province within the political settlements."
He pointed out that "the Turkmen people refuse that Kirkuk be among the settlements and that its fate is determined on the results of what the political blocs agree upon."
