The Ministry of Finance announced, on Tuesday, the launch of the third installment of farmers' arrears due since the beginning of this year.
A ministry statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, stated that, with the follow-up of Finance Minister Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi, the Accounting Department began launching the funds allocated to farmers' arrears, as the total amount paid for the months of January and February 2022 amounted to (824 billion dinars).
According to the statement, the Ministry's Accounting Department confirmed its continuation of disbursing the funds allocated to support the farmers segment in the various governorates in accordance with the relevant regulations and controls.
The statement added, that the ministry pays great attention to this important segment, and that its efforts are continuing within the framework of developing and sustaining agricultural wealth, supporting the national product and supplying the Iraqi market with local products, in addition to its endeavor to reduce the burdens on farmers and farmers in order to achieve the growth and prosperity of the national economy, which is considered To complement the economic reform plans by providing various forms of support to the productive economic sectors that have a pivotal impact in enhancing the gross domestic product and meeting the needs of the local market, as well as maximizing public revenues.
