Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received on Wednesday Chargé d'Affairs of the Ukrainian Embassy in Baghdad Alexander Borvzhnikov.
According to a statement by Al-Halbousi's office, Mawazine News received a copy of it, "The meeting dealt with developments in the international and regional situations, and the current events in Ukraine, where Borvzhnikov reviewed the difficult humanitarian conditions, the damage to infrastructure and the waves of displacement that his country is witnessing, praising Iraq's position and the continuation of the work of the Iraqi embassy in Kyiv." .
The Speaker of the House of Representatives indicated, during the meeting, that Iraq has suffered from wars and their consequences of displacement, displacement and destruction, expressing his regret for what Ukraine is suffering from, stressing at the same time Iraq's position in support of preserving and stability of countries, their independence and sovereignty, and the need to prevail over the language of dialogue and adherence to diplomatic methods; To resolve tensions and political problems between countries away from war zones, hoping for security solutions and a complete end to military operations through diplomatic dialogue.
