Earth News/ The leader of the Manar Al-Obaidi Extension Movement revealed, today, Tuesday, that the salaries of the Iraqi ministries and governorates have risen.
Al-Obaidi said, in an interview with Earth News, that "there is an increase in the salaries of ministries and governorates, which constitute 90% of the total total salaries, by 15.7% compared to 2019".
Al-Obaidi added that “the salaries of the Ministry of Interior, which constitute 28% of the total salaries, increased by 12% compared to 2019, and the salaries of the Ministry of Defense, which constitute 16% of the total salaries, increased by 19%,” noting that “the salaries of the Council of Ministers and its affiliated bodies, which constitute 11 % of total salaries, rising by 28% compared to 2019."
He pointed out that "the highest rises were in the Council of Ministers and its affiliated bodies and in the province of Basra, where the percentage of salaries increased by 27.5% compared to 2019, and the salaries of Basra represented 2.64% of the total salaries."
