The leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Muhammad Jaafar, revealed, on Wednesday, the reasons for Saudi investment, especially in the southern governorates of Iraq, while noting that the current government has opened the way for Saudi Arabia to penetrate the country's territory.

Jaafar said in an interview with the Information Agency, "The main and basic reason that Saudi Arabia is working on through investing within the Iraqi provinces is to create a hotbed and influence in the southern regions, especially within the Shiite provinces, to try to destroy and fragment the Shiite community through its terrorist plans."
He added, "The Iraqi people instead of blaming the Saudi side for holding the current government accountable, which opened the way for Riyadh to invest inside Iraqi territory," stressing that "the government knows very well what Saudi Arabia has provided over the past years to Iraq and is still sending terrorists to the country."
The leader of the state of law explained that "the current government either has a personal interest with Saudi Arabia and thus allows it to penetrate and control the southern lands of Iraq, especially the Muthanna Governorate, or is defeated by its command and cannot do anything about this file." Done/25 SR
