    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, said during his visit to Najaf Governorate that the next government plan includes attention to the agricultural sector.
    Al-Ghazi met the governor, directors of service departments and a number of tribal sheikhs and farmers, noting that “this visit comes within the work of the committee concerned with following up on lagging and stalled projects, and preparing for new projects; In order to advance the service and economic reality of the province.”
     He added that "the visit schedule included inspecting the road project linking the governorate with the international road, in addition to the governorate's entrances and a number of school buildings included in the Ministry of Education's project No. (1) that has lagged for years, as well as reviewing the designs of the governorate entrances prepared by the National Center for Engineering Consultations in Ministry of Construction, Housing, Public Works and Municipalities.
     Al-Ghazi said: “The General Secretariat has formed a special team to determine the priority of the projects that will be targeted at the present time, to identify the most important obstacles that prevented their completion, and to direct the relevant official authorities to resolve the procedures for contract extensions, and to determine the timelines; To finish these projects, and walk in one direction to start the reconstruction campaign for the new projects that will be identified,” noting that “the implementing companies for water projects (Najaf - Kufa) and water treatment and (37) schools started work, after ending all legal and financial conflicts, in addition to the proximity Directing a project to rehabilitate and develop the entrances to the governorate, and prepare to launch a campaign to rebuild the governorate to include all sectors and with a joint government effort.”
     He pointed out that "the next government plan will include attention to the agricultural sector in the governorate and the rest of Iraq's governorates; Which will contribute to supporting the economy and employing manpower, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture directing the payment of farmers’ dues for the past year after the adoption of the emergency support law for food security and development, and the dues of the current year that will be spent directly upon marketing.”
