On Tuesday, Parliament Speaker Mohamed al-Halbousi received Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn and his accompanying delegation.
According to a statement by Al-Halbousi's office, Mawazine News received a copy of it, that during the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and joint cooperation between Iraq and the European Union in combating terrorism and all fields, as well as discussing the issue of refugees and displaced persons.
The statement continued, "The meeting touched upon developments in the regional and international arena, while Al-Halbousi stressed the need to give priority to the language of dialogue away from wars and the importance of adhering to diplomatic methods to resolve tensions and political problems between countries.
For his part, the Luxembourg Foreign Minister affirmed his country's aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations and the continuation of bilateral relations." Cooperation at various levels, stressing the support of his government and the European Union to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq and cooperation in all fields, in a manner that achieves its security and stability.
