Today, Monday, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for Technical Affairs, Maher Hammad Johan, discussed with the director of the new office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Yoneda Jain and his accompanying delegation, cooperation between the Iraqi government and the agency in various fields, especially the Basra refinery project.
Johan said in a statement, "The meeting dealt with projects financed by the Japanese agency JICA as loans, in addition to the scientific and technical cooperation agreement between the Iraqi and Japanese sides, of which JICA represents the implementing agency."
He pointed out that "the meeting also included a number of areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Planning and JICA," noting that "it was agreed on the main frameworks and technical aspects of the topics that were raised during the meeting."
