The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan affirmed, on Sunday, its categorical rejection of the continued violations of Iraqi sovereignty and the sanctity of Iraqi lands by the Turkish military forces, considering the Turkish presence in northern Iraq an occupation.
The representative of the Federation, Iman Maarouf, said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "preserving sovereignty and borders with any country is the competence of the federal government."
She added that "the Turkish presence in Iraq is an occupation and constitutes a clear threat to the sovereignty of Iraq," noting that "violations of Iraqi sovereignty by Turkey constitute a clear threat."
Maarouf expressed her "dissatisfaction with the Iraqi government's failure to take a position to preserve Iraq's sovereignty." finished / 25 h
