Today, Wednesday, the Central Bank of Iraq recorded its highest dollar sales this week, reaching more than $274 million.
Also, “the Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, 274 million and 161 thousand and 227 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, which is the highest amount of amounts that the bank sold during the current year.
He added that these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 218 million and 691 thousand and 227 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 55 million and 200 thousand dollars.
In addition, 33 banks fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, 20 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 205 intermediary companies.
