Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq recorded today, Wednesday, its highest sales of the US dollar currency in the currency sale auction during the current year, reaching more than 293 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank sold 293 million and 9 thousand and 739 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, which is the highest amount of amounts that the bank sold during the year Present.
Our correspondent added that these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 220 million and 359 thousand and 739 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 72 million and 650 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 34 banks have fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, and 23 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 301 mediation companies.
