Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Social Affairs in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced, on Sunday, a list of 14,000 people with special needs (people of determination), waiting to go through two stages in order to be included in social welfare salaries in the region.
The ministry's spokesman, Arian Ahmed, said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "The ministry, within the framework of its reform steps, whose stages are being supervised by the minister himself, is continuing to improve the lives of people with special needs in the region."
With regard to the list of 14,000 people with special needs, Ahmed explained that the matter is still "waiting to go through two important stages to complete its procedures," noting that "the first stage includes undergoing a medical examination to determine the percentage of their disability."
While the second stage includes, "the list will be submitted to the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region, in order to issue a decision to replace them with the names of the people who have been excluded, after carrying out the reform process in the lists of people with special needs," according to the Ministry of Social Affairs in the Kurdistan Region.
