Citizens expressed their opinion regarding early elections, if they were held, would they solve Iraq's problems that Iraqis demanded to be resolved within years, saying: "There is nothing new if the elections are repeated with the presence of the corrupt."
Al-Kasib Ali Al-Mandalawi said that "if the elections are repeated in the presence of the corrupt, they will not succeed," adding: "We want fair and clean elections, so that the Iraqi people, whose lives were destroyed, rest, for the parties are the only beneficiaries, for twenty years they have been stealing with oil and money, and the people are being killed by hunger." .
And retired Hassan Atta believes that early elections should be “according to the law, as happened previously and we elected so-and-so. The constitution is the one who rules, not by imposing force and sitting in parliament.” He asked: “Is Parliament a café? I wonder about the citizen who sits in Parliament What does he feel? And what does he want? He wants to solve the problems. He has to get out of Parliament. You have representatives for you. They are supposed to speak forcefully through the media, and say we want such and such and it has not been achieved.”
Atta stressed that "it is not permissible to sleep and sit in Parliament, and because of that work has stopped in the country, and it is not in this way that the request to dissolve Parliament is."
For his part, a worker from Baghdad named Amer Ali believes that “the solution is not to hold elections, now the issue has become a key issue. We demand the keys. The people are demanding the keys to finance, oil and electricity, which politicians have owned since 2004, and the treasury has become theirs.”
Ali directed his words to Iraq’s politicians by saying: “We tell them to stop the thefts, but now the only solution is the people’s condition. Everyone who has ruled since 2004 must be expelled. We have not seen any good from them, only killing and the lack of services. If they continue to rule for one year, it will be Mass destruction in Iraq.
Karim Hamid, a retiree from the capital, Baghdad, expressed a different opinion from his predecessors, saying: “Nothing will be resolved, and the problems in Iraq end in one way, which is the military coup.”
Hamid continued: "Even whoever asked for reform from where is he? Was he not with them? And this fourth time he is demonstrating and returning to them. What happened now and differed, is it an awakening? The people want to get rid of them all. If elections are held and they return again, what are they? Interest, so is the thief permissible from his nature?
Hamid believes that "the situation in Iraq cannot be tolerated by the mind, even the insane. If you tell him the elections will solve the problems and succeed, he will tell you: No, you will not succeed, because God Almighty has given us these powers."
