    Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Energy Committee revealed a tendency to reduce electricity collection fees and control losses. He indicated that a parliamentary-governmental meeting will be held tomorrow, Sunday, to discuss an amendment to Electricity Law No. 35 of 2017.
    A member of the Parliamentary Energy Committee inside Radi said in a statement to the agency. The Iraqi News (INA), that "there is a tendency of the Parliamentary Energy Committee to reduce electricity collection fees and to commit to payment and regulated consumption with smart meters to control losses," noting that "the committee will also come out with an official opinion on the connection with Jordan and the Gulf after its meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday." Consultation with transport and distribution specialists.
    He added that "the meeting will also discuss the paragraphs of the Electricity Law and the possibility of making amendments to it in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and the Parliamentary Legal Committee," noting that "the current time is the most appropriate time to make amendments to some paragraphs to create positives that give the ministry powers and support that enable it to work with greater professionalism and freedom."
    Regarding the gas file, Radi confirmed: “There is a strategic plan for the Ministry of Oil in the process of isolating associated gas and producing it from the fields located in the south and west of the country,” stressing that “the trend of expanding clean energy plants is a continuous matter, and the ministry has concluded more than one contract with specialized companies.”
