On Thursday, former Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban denied reports of his re-nomination for the position in the new government.
Al-Ghadban said in a statement, "Letters received from many friends and acquaintances mention that I am a candidate for the position of Oil Minister in the government that is being formed these days."
He added, "I did not nominate myself, did not seek the position, and I do not want to return to work in the country again."
He declared "full readiness to provide support and advice free of charge."
