Kurdistan announces spending more than 500 billion dinars to address the drought crisis
Shafaq News/ The Directorate of Water Resources in Kurdistan Region announced, on Saturday, that more than 500 billion Iraqi dinars have been spent to address the drought crisis in the region.
The Director General of Water Resources in the Kurdistan Region, Karawan Sabah Harmani, said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that "until the end of 2021, 24,410 wells were drilled in the Kurdistan Region for agriculture, drinking water and industry, which affected the groundwater level."
And between Hermani, that 4 projects out of 86 projects to address drought and lack of water have been completed, at a cost of 515 billion and 893 million dinars.
