Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs responded, on Sunday, to the news of foreign workers being included in a retirement salary, pledging at the same time to implement Labor Law No. 37 of 2015, which requires the employer to hire an Iraqi worker for every foreign worker.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "Foreign workers will be subject to the law by collecting fees and taxes, as is the case with the private sector," pointing out that "the ministerial curriculum, among its priorities, is activating and encouraging the private sector, and employing hands." The national worker is compared to the foreign worker.
He pointed out that "what was leaked to the media about the inclusion of foreign workers with a retirement salary is inaccurate, as foreign workers are guaranteed in their countries, and this is something imposed by the laws in all countries."
