Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, stressed, on Saturday, the necessity of adhering to human rights standards and applying the laws in force and the constitution.
Abdullah's office stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the latter emphasized the necessity of adhering to human rights standards and applying the laws in force and the constitution," pointing to "the importance of providing a space of freedoms, preventing violations and holding accountable all those who violate the laws and transgress the rights of others."
He pointed out the necessity of "orienting state institutions towards reform, providing basic services, ensuring the protection of components and minorities, and spreading a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence." Ended 29 / H
