    On Tuesday, the representative of foreign affairs in the European Union, Josep Borrell, extended an official invitation to the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, to visit the European Union headquarters in Brussels.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani's office said in a statement that "the Prime Minister met this evening, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Josep Borrell, on the sidelines of participation in the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership hosted by Jordan."[/size]
    [size=45]The meeting witnessed, according to the statement, "they discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and all European Union countries, and ways to enhance partnership and exchange at the economic and security levels, and other areas of common interest and interest."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani pointed out that "Iraq attaches importance to balance in its foreign relations, and the direction towards international action to strengthen the security and stability of the region, in addition to joint efforts in the field of combating terrorism and extremism, and facing economic challenges."[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, Borrell affirmed the European Union's support for the stability of Iraq and the strengthening of cooperation at various levels. He invited Al-Sudani to visit the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels, in order to discuss more files of common interest, and to consolidate partnership relations between Iraq and the countries of the Union.[/size]
