    On Thursday, the US Treasury announced the issuance of new economic sanctions against institutions and individuals operating inside Turkey accused of financing and transferring funds to the terrorist organization ISIS inside Iraq and Syria.[/size]
    [size=45]The American Foundation said in an official statement, translated by (Baghdad Today), that “a group of companies and institutions imposed financial sanctions on them, which included confiscating their property and freezing their financial assets around the world, as the Director of the Intelligence Department at the Foundation, Brian Nelson, confirmed that the sanctions included a person by the name of Burkan Al-Khatuni.”[/size]
    [size=45]And the information disclosed by the official American institution confirmed that “the person concerned financed the terrorist organization ISIS in Iraq with sums amounting to half a million dollars through another personality named Yasser Ali Muhammad Al-Faraji, who was arrested by the counter-terrorism unit in the Kurdistan region of Iraq on the twenty-ninth of March 2021, after planning to use part of that money to launch terrorist operations targeting Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]According to the American Foundation’s statement, “The companies whose involvement in the terrorist organization ISIS was revealed are the Al-Rafidain Food Canning Company in Mersin, Turkey, which is managed by Muhammad Abdel Hamid Salem, and Al-Shams Express, which is managed by a person named Louay Jassem Al-Jubouri, who was previously proven to belong to the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. before moving to ISIS.[/size]
