Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi stated that Turkey will never affect the unity of Iraq and its constituents.
The Turkish Anadulu News Agency quoted Nijaifi, as saying “Turkey is a friend of Iraq and has an effective role in the unity of Iraq that is not against any of the Iraqi constituents where it has good relations with the Sunni, Shiite and the Kurds.”
“Iraq has to reconsider its policy with Turkey and activate the cooperation with it because it is one of the big countries and important to Iraq and not to deal with it as an enemy,” he added.
“We are in touch with most of the Turkish officials such as the Turkish Speaker, the Prime Minister, the President and the Foreign Minister,” he concluded.
