Shafaq News/ The representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc, Sabah Sobhi revealed, on Tuesday, that the political blocs' failure to agree on distributing their replacement deputies to the parliamentary committees led to the postponement of the session, stressing that the focus is on the sovereign committees.

Sobhi told Shafaq News agency, "The lack of agreement by the political blocs on distributing substitute deputies to parliamentary committees, and selecting the heads of committees, prompted the Presidency of Parliament to postpone today's session until tomorrow, Wednesday."
He pointed out that "there is great pressure from representatives and parliamentary blocs to be in the sovereign committees, most notably the financial, foreign, oil and electricity."
He added, "Tomorrow's session, Wednesday, will be the last in this week, and it will witness the distribution of substitute representatives to parliamentary committees equally, in addition to discussing and reading a number of laws."
And Sobhi stated, "There is an agreement in principle to postpone choosing the presidency of parliamentary committees until further notice, until the completion of the distribution of replacement representatives to the committees and the exercise of their role in the permanent parliamentary committees."
And the Iraqi parliament adjourned it to its session last Saturday, after the first reading of the “controversial” draft law on communications and informatics, and a number of other laws, while it postponed the reading of the fact-finding committee on the presence of carcinogenic chemical radiation in fertilizer produced by the Southern Fertilizer Company, to be resumed The meeting took place on Tuesday.
And the issue of forming parliamentary committees is still not settled, especially with the withdrawal of the representatives of the Sadrist movement and the replacement of their replacements, at a time when Parliament is preparing to discuss important laws such as the budget.
