Earth News / Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, Ali Mashkour, stressed today, Wednesday, the necessity of diversifying the sources of power lines and diversifying energy sources until the completion of what was agreed upon with Siemens.
Mashkour said in an interview with Earth News Agency, "If Iraq proceeds with the agreement to complete the extension of the electric line, then the issue of the diversity of power line sources and the diversity of energy sources must be considered until the completion of what was agreed upon with Siemens and until the completion of the power stations that will be built during the next stage."
He added, "The issue of importing gas from Iran sometimes causes major malfunctions in power stations and shutting them down due to the lack of gas imported from them. Therefore, finding other sources with power lines and connecting them without the national grid, I think will alleviate a lot of the problem of power outages in many cities of the country."
And he continued, "I do not mind that he proceed with it in the event of a certain time, and this agreement will be completed and dispensed with after the stations are completed, because the country still needs electricity, and the citizen has the right to provide him with electricity in any way."
