Nechirvan Barzani, Al-Halbousi and the American ambassador agree to support the Iraqi government and adopt dialogue to solve problems

Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi stressed, on Saturday, the importance of supporting the federal government and its success in its tasks, and implementing its governmental program, while the American Ambassador, Alina Romansky stressed that resolving issues between Baghdad and Erbil leads to stability for Iraq and the region .
Al-Halbousi's media office stated, in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, that the latter received the President of Kurdistan Region in Baghdad, and the two sides discussed the political situation in the country, emphasizing the importance of supporting the government and its success in its tasks, and implementing its government program and the political agreement paper, including laws.
On the other hand, the Kurdistan Region Presidency stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that President Barzani met with the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romansky, and they discussed relations between Erbil and Baghdad and the latest developments in the talks between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to resolve outstanding issues between them.
The two sides emphasized the importance of resolving these issues for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and agreed that resolving issues leads to stability for Iraq and the region.
For her part, Romansky expressed the United States' support for dialogue and efforts to solve problems between Erbil and Baghdad. She also thanked President Nechirvan Barzani for his positive role and efforts in this regard.
The internal conditions of the Kurdistan Region and the importance of the unity of the Kurdish parties, reorganization and reforms in the Ministry of Peshmerga, strengthening Iraq and the Kurdistan Region's relations with the United States and expanding areas of joint cooperation, with other issues of common interest, constituted another focus of the meeting.
And the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, arrived this morning in the capital, Baghdad, and met with the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, and the two sides discussed the general budget for the year 2023, and securing the borders.
A statement by Al-Sudani's media office, received by Shafaq News agency, stated that during the meeting, they discussed the most important topics and issues at the Iraqi level, and ways to enhance coordination and cooperation between the federal government and the regional government.
The meeting witnessed a review of the course of joint work in the sectors of laws related to oil and gas, the federal budget law, as well as the efforts made to secure the borders, according to the statement.
