    Shafaq News/ The President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid announced, on Monday, plans to re-work and rehabilitate factories and laboratories and attract investors, stressing that the Iraqi government has an ambitious ministerial program to improve the status of services and rebuild and rebuild the infrastructure.
    This came during his reception at the Baghdad Palace, a number of ambassadors of the European Union, the United States and Canada to Iraq, according to a statement received by Shafaq News agency.



    The President of the Republic affirmed that "Iraq is keen to develop its relations with the countries of the European Union, which are based on respect, mutual understanding and common interests," noting that "Iraq is looking forward to more cooperation and building bridges of communication in many vital areas."
    He pointed out that "the leaders and presidents who were met on the sidelines of the Arab Summit Conference in Algeria and the Climate Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh affirmed their support for Iraq, and their desire for it to play a greater role at the regional and international levels, and they also expressed their happiness with the recent elections and the positive indicators that resulted from them." formation of a national government.
    Rashid talked about participating in the Davos Economic Conference, and the discussions he and the Foreign Minister held that dealt with the situation in Iraq and the economic challenges it faces, as well as the climatic and environmental impacts, high temperatures and ways to reduce the repercussions of climate change through meetings with a number of leaders, politicians and economists. Pointing out that "most of the country's challenges are not impossible, and appropriate solutions can be found if joint efforts are combined to solve them."
    The Iraqi president added, "The Iraqi government has an ambitious ministerial program to improve the reality of services and rebuild and rebuild the infrastructure, and there are plans to re-work and rehabilitate factories and laboratories, and to attract investors because there are promising opportunities for companies to invest in Iraq through vital projects and infrastructure development."
    He stated that "Iraqis have the determination and will to overcome the remnants of the past and their suffering caused by wars, conflicts and violence, and set out to achieve their aspirations for a decent life." He explained that "Iraq today enjoys security and economic stability, which are suitable conditions for developing the country and providing a decent life for its people."
    The President of the Republic expressed his "thanks and appreciation to the German government for the German Parliament's (Bundestag) approval that what the terrorist organization ISIS committed against our Yazidi people is considered a crime of genocide, stressing that this is an important thing for us."
    In turn, the ambassadors renewed their countries' support for Iraq, and extended their congratulations for its success in organizing the twenty-fifth Gulf Cup championship and winning its title, and this is evidence of the tangible development of Iraq during the past two years.
    On the sidelines of the meeting, the latest political developments in the region and the world and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war were reviewed, where the importance of securing food and energy trade was emphasized in order to achieve food security, stability and peace.
