    Today, Monday, the Ministry of Health confirmed that the 2023 budget will include record financial allocations for the health sector, while announcing the imminent opening of a number of hospitals.
    The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the health sector is one of the government's most important priorities, as the Prime Minister has confirmed since assuming responsibility," noting that " The budget, which is expected to be launched soon, will include record allocations for the health sector. ".
    Al-Badr added, "This support will reflect positively on the level of health services provided to the citizen," noting that "the Ministry of Health is communicating with all health departments and the concerned authorities in the Ministries of Planning and Finance to determine needs within what is in line with the priorities of the government programme."
    He pointed out that "the projects of the Ministry of Health include giant hospitals with a capacity of 492 beds, and others with a capacity of 200 and 300 beds, in addition to developing specialized centers, prioritizing cancer treatments, and reviewing drug policies in general." ," stressing that "the Minister of Health follows up on a daily basis the implementation of these priorities within the program." government.”
    For his part, the Director General of the Maysan Health Department, Ali Mahmoud Al-Alaq, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the minister focused on three main axes of the ministerial curriculum and how to proceed with its implementation," noting that "there is a program for the Ministry of Health that has been developed and agreed upon, as well as public discussions about problems and obstacles related to the work of health institutions and health departments, in addition to their immediate solutions and remedies.
    For his part, the Director General of Anbar Health, Khudair Khalaf Shalal, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Minister of Health held a meeting with the general directors in the governorates and in the ministry," noting that "the meeting focused on the government curriculum for the year 2023 and the powers vested in the directors of health departments in With regard to the government curriculum, such as establishing new hospitals and opening units and centers.
    Shallal added, "The minister also focused on cancer centers, cardiac surgery centers, and catheterization centers, in addition to the quality of service and the availability of medicines and medical supplies."
    Regarding the projects of Anbar Governorate, Khalaf said, “There are large sections related to the government curriculum, including the Ramadi Teaching Hospital, which will enter service at the end of this month with a capacity of 460 full beds, in addition to hospitals with a capacity of 200 beds in Hit, Haditha and Al-Qaim," pointing out that "the 200-bed hospital A bed in Haditha will enter service this year after signing the contract addendum and the availability of medical devices within 6-9 months.
    He continued, "We have a 100-bed Karma Hospital on the investment budget of the Ministry of Health, and it will enter service this year, in addition to specialized centers for heart surgery and catheterization, such as a neurosurgery center, a center for infertility, and a center for cancerous tumors, and the catheterization device will be installed within two months.”
